[Reviews] BIG HERO 6 on DVD/Blu-ray

BH6

BIG HERO 6 – THE COLLECTOR’S EDITION (Available on Blu-rayTM Combo Pack on February 24th 2015) With all the Marvel super hero films out now a days this was a natural way for Disney to go. I have seen many mixed reviews about this movie but I find this film will appeal to the whole family especially unconventional ones.

We are sent on a funny and emotional voyage with the super brain Hiro. We find Hiro grief struck by the death of his older and wiser brother Tadashi who is also a super brain. Tadashi is the inventor of the big, inflatable, marshmallow like and health care robot called Baymax. Threw out the adventures of the film Hiro and Baymax form an adorable connection that helps Hiro deal with the death of Tadashi Along with the help of four charismatic friends we are sent on a quest to find out who stole Hiro’s invention but not before the six friends are transformed into super heroes by means of their own super brain inventions other then Baymax who is transformed by Hiro.

I found this to be a sweet film. That does have a message about dealing with loss. I would not say that it is the best Disney film ever. It does have a few holes in the story but visually it is well done with hidden mickeys. (Have you spotted any?) I would give this film a 7 out of ten.

PS make sure you watch the special feature after the credits.

FEAST

FEAST – I could not say enough good things about this award winning animation short. It’s touching, sweet and heart warming. With out any words you feel every message it tries to send out. Even if you don’t see or like Big Hero 6 you must see The Feast.
